Indiana Jones

The son of an Irish father and a Russian-Jewish mother, Harrison Ford was born July 13, 1942, in Chicago, IL. His first credited acting role was in the 1967 film A Time for Killing. Several years (and minor roles) later, Ford found fame with the role of hotrod racer Bob Falfa in the 1973 classic, American Graffiti. Four years later, he was cast as swashbuckling space smuggler Han Solo in the 1977 epic, Star Wars. After a repeat performance as rebel hero Han Solo in 1980's The Empire Strikes Back, Ford went on to star as the whip-cracking archaeologist Indiana Jones in 1981's adventurous Raiders of the Lost Ark. Many more starring roles followed, giving Ford the chance to prove his versatility, as well as reprise his more popular characters. Now a bona fide Hollywood superstar, Ford enjoys time off at his 800-acre ranch in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
